All 11th grade vikings are required to take the ASVAB for portfolio points. The test is generally administered in February.
When results arrive, a representative from the Army National Guard will visit 11th grade students to interpret the score and to walk through the accompanying booklet & website resources available to those who take the ASVAB. |
Why Do We Take the Asvab?
Military Entrance
If you choose to enlist in the military, as many N-K students before you have chosen to, you will need an ASVAB score. ASVAB scores help determine your military eligibility and job placement.
|
Career Exploration
The ASVAB will measure your aptitude for various occupations and compares them to others in your class and nationally. Additionally, they have a Holland-Code based interest inventory to assist you in matching your strengths with your interests.

ACT Predictor
Wondering what your ACT score might look like? The ASVAB can predict the range that you can expect to earn given a similar time frame (Spring of Junior year)
