Other Programs & Resources Available to Northwood-Kensett Families
Turning Leaf Counseling Offerings :
- Theraplay for birth-age 12 (up to age 16)
- PCIT (Parent-Child Interactive Therapy) for ages 2-7
- Other Services
FFT (Functional Family Therapy) is available through the juvenile court system and is free with referral from school officials. Families work together to better communicate and become more functional.
Crisis Intervention Service has an office in Northwood and provides free & confidential services to the following groups:
- Sexual Abuse/ Sex Trafficking (Sexual abuse hotline- 641.424.9071)
- Domestic Abuse (Domestic abuse hotline- 641.424.9133)
- Survivors of Homicide
- Bullying victims
The NIACC Angel Ticket Program provides tickets to NIACC Performing Arts events for families in need at no cost. If you feel you would benefit from attending a performance or speaking engagement, consider completing the form on the link provided.
The NIACC Transition Fair is held in the fall each year. This year's event is October 2nd & 3rd from 9:15-2PM and focuses on transitions from school to adult life, organized by Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
No Limits: A WIA Youth Program provides academic & occupational assistance for qualifying underserved North Iowans aged 14-21.
